5 Great Countertops for your Kitchen Remodel

Posted on: January 20, 2017

Granite

Although granite is one of the most pricey choices for countertops, it is the most expected look in your typical kitchen at this day and time. Typical prices range from anywhere around $50 to $250 per sq. ft. Granite requires sealing once or twice a year to maintain a clean and sterile work service for cooking and etc. Aside from sealing, granite typically does not require much maintenance. Not to mention the wide variety to choose from!

Cambria

The great thing about Cambria is that it can be more durable than granite. Cambria also can give a more captivating finish than many other quartz counters. Pricing for Cambria starts anywhere from $70 a sq. ft. to around $200 a sq.ft.

Silestone

When looking at silestone you see a very shiny and clean look like the countop above. Unlike granite, silestone is completely maintenance-free since it’s non-pourus. Depending on the different looks, maintenance, and costs, these three factors help separate silestone from granite and cambria. Silestone is generally slightly cheaper than cambria. Keep in mind, all countertop pricing no matter the type, is relivant to the number of slabs required, as well as the square footage!

Concrete

Concrete is a great option for islands and unique locations. It comes in a wide varity of finishing techniques and colors along with the flexibility in creative shapes and designs.

Corian

Corian is a great practical and good looking kitchen countertop for any home. Although Corian is one of the least expensive solid-surface countertop materials, it’s non-pourus and comes in a wide variety of colors; not to mention it is super easy to clean!
